Our Management Team represents over 50 years of experience in the industrial appraisal and auction business.
John Carroll – President
John Carroll has spent his entire 20 year career in the industrial Valuation, Disposition & Asset Consulting business. Prior to founding Silicon Valley Disposition, he spent 14 years with the world’s largest (inside the building) industrial auction company. For five consecutive years, as a Senior Vice President, his disposition sales team was responsible and recognized as the company’s most profitable division. Carroll was also very involved in transitioning the brick and mortar company into a global online auction leader. Prior to moving west in 1996, Carroll worked for Ernst & Young LLP for three years in their Financial Advisory Services group appraising machinery and equipment. Carroll has been directly involved in thousands of transactions and has represented the largest companies in the United States all over the world with their disposition and valuation needs. At SVD he is directly involved in all aspects of the companies day to day activities. Carroll is a graduate of The University of Rhode Island.
Mark Castaldo – Senior Vice President Global Business Development
Mark Castaldo has over twenty-five years of successful diverse senior management and marketing experience. At Silicon Valley Disposition Mr. Castaldo responsibilities include heading up global sales and business development utilizing his vast experience and rolodex of top executives at fortune 500 companies. Mr. Castaldo has been with Silicon Valley Disposition since 2010 and has contributed to it’s successful track record and global development by executing worldwide master agreements with Ingersoll Rand and BP Solar to name a few. Mr. Castaldo has fifteen years of senior corporate management experience in the field of telecommunications most notably as the Director of Northeast Data sales for MCI and WorldCom (now Verizon). As Director, Mr. Castaldo oversaw all sales and marketing from New York to Maine while communicating with only senior level management at most fortune 100 companies located in the Northeast including IBM, Routers, State Street Bank, Fidelity Investments, United Technologies, Mass Mutual, The Travelers among other.
Sunil Patel – President of Silicon Valley Disposition,Test Group
Sunil has been in the test equipment business for the past 10 years. With a degree in both engineering and finance it has helped him growing add tremendous value to customers who seek knowledgeable field use as well as financial impacts for their purchases. Sunil has bought and sold equipment all over the world and he fully understands import/export laws and associated tax issues. Prior to joining SVD he has owned two successful companies in the electronic test and measurement field, one of which he is still a partner. His knowledge and experience in ETM enables SVD to provide customers with quality products that we can warranty and fully support.
Fidel Guevara – Controller
Fidel Guevara is a seasoned accountant with more than fifteen years of experience in different areas of finance and he is well-versed in a broad range of accounting and administrative functions. He has provided accounting and administrative guidance to companies in the auction, biotech, information technology, software, and hospitality business. At Silicon Valley Disposition he is responsible for all accounting activities as well as our inventory tracking systems. Mr. Guevara holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Francisco State University.
