Auctions
SVD conducts two types of equipment auctions: Online Auctions and Onsite Webcast Auctions. Both types of auctions have benefits; our main consideration in choosing between the two is which will best maximize our clients return on the secondary market. Both types of auctions allow for inspection prior to the event.
Online Internet Auction
At Internet Auctions all bidding takes place on the web. Items are posted for a specific duration of time and close sequentially, usually over a 48 hour period. Online auctions provide the opportunity for a global audience to compete for the assets. Online auctions have grown tremendously in popularity over the past five years. Prior to the start of our online auctions, perspective bidders can preview the assets just as they would at an onsite webcast auction..
Webcast Auctions
Webcast auctions are held onsite with an Auctioneer calling bids from the podium. The auction is webcast over the internet to allow bidders from around the world to compete with the people in the room. Assets are sold in real time, one at a time to the highest bidder.

Storefront
Our Storefront sales channel has a pre determined asking price. Many buyers need to purchase assets immediately and may not have the time to wait for an auction; our storefronts provide the ability to do just that. It also provides sellers who may have more time or a set asking price with another option.
Marketplaces
Our Marketplaces are date and time specific online auctions for a specific industry and/or asset class. Our sellers range from individuals to large and small companies. They have been designed for sellers with fewer assets to sell, typically not enough to hold their own auction. Our Marketplaces have been designed to better assist our sellers by helping them properly provide the necessary specifications on the assets they are selling. We have implemented a strict quality control system in order to allow buyers to make educated purchases. The goal is to allow buyers to bid with more confidence which contributes to higher returns for our sellers.
Liquidations
Our liquidation services are conducted in a brokerage. Typically, business liquidation sales are held over a longer duration of time in order to try and find an end user buyer.
Sealed Bids
Bidders simultaneously submit silent offers for the asset or property. The seller has the right to accept or reject any offers. Typically, the highest bidder pays the price they submitted for the offering.
